Job Description POSITION
Summary:
Responsible for preparing contingency plans for system software, hardware, and applications for the organization. Implements procedures to ensure business applications continue to function through disruptive incidents within an organization. Develops and maintains various security controls to protect technology assets from internal or inadvertent modification, disclosure or destruction. Provide reports to supervisors regarding effectiveness of data security and make recommendations for the adoption of new procedures. Oversees and facilitates the preparation of an organization-wide business resumption plan. Responsible for ensuring the business resumption plan adequately addresses the organization's requirements and established timeframes. Responsible for day-to-day security administration of the organization's data systems and data networks including systems access administration.
Responsible for implementing strategic planning initiatives pertaining to national emergency communications infrastructure (incl. phone, wireless, web/networking, etc.) and related policies and regulations.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES: Please list by order of priority and, if possible, provide the percentage of time spent on the activity all should equal 100%.
Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Management of program staff
2. Participation in stakeholder forums and training/exercises
3. Briefing and advising ACE-IT executives with regard to emergency communications initiatives, incidents, technologies, and solutions (infrastructure issues)
4. Provide input pertaining to relevant communications infrastructure policies and regulations
5. Support relevant acquisitions and contribute to development of relevant budgets
6. Advise and support emergency response to national communications infrastructure incidents.
7. Collaborate with relevant federal agencies (FEMA), state agencies, and private sector stakeholder organizations (ex. telecom companies) to accomplish communications contingency planning and continuity of operations planning.
8. Identify required training for employees in various operations.
9. Perform and document training, document and submit monthly performance metrics. Implement employee reward and recognition program
10. Submit any documentation required to operate under permits (such as air, hazardous waste and water).
11. Communicating (manage from the floor type) with senior management, area supervisors and regulators to help implement a complete Emergency Response Program.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
Personal computer, printers, calculator, copy machines, scanners, FAX machines, phones, and other general office equipment. Operates non-tactical vehicles as required.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Job assignments may involve the conduct of work in out-of-doors areas with exposure to extreme climatic conditions. May work in areas where a potential exist for exposure to physical, chemical, and biological agents. Duties will involve the conduct of work in the outdoors with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in certain areas is required. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices. Must comply with all Fire, Safety and post policies. Job may require overnight travel and may be located in areas considered high risk according to the DHS.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
While performing duties of this job, will require lifting up to 35 lbs.; stooping; climbing; prolonged standing; prolonged sitting.
Required
Experience: MINIMUM
Qualifications:
Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
Must have a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant discipline
- Experience in strategic planning, especially with regard to communications infrastructure (incl. phone, wireless, web/networking, radio, etc.)
- Experience in national security planning, crisis response, preparedness planning, and/or continuity of operations planning
- Experience coordinating with high profile working groups that have many stakeholders (incl. major fed agencies, state agencies, large private sector infrastructure providers)
- Some technical engineering background (esp. pertaining to communication technologies and networking)
- Must be a U.S. citizen and have an active DoD security clearance Military background and training beneficial.
Experience:
Prefer an individual with at least five to eight years experience to include COOP operations; Background working with NTIA, FCC, and SAFECOM is highly desired
- Masters degree or PhD in relevant discipline is a plus
Skills:
Excellent communication and writing skills are also required along with a working knowledge of computer operations to include spreadsheet, database, word processing and presentation applications. Must have strong ability to work independent and as a member of a robust team.

Work Status Full-TimeEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
