## _Position Summary_
Primary focus will be on facilitating through the Executive Steward/Chef the overseeing of the daily deep cleaning of all kitchen areas and equipment including hood vents, stoves, ovens, fryers, and grills. Detail cleaning of all stainless steel counters, walls and floors under and around equipment is also required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
## _Duties and Responsibilities_
Maintains a positive attitude at all times, supporting the policies of Senior Management of the Casino as well as Senior Management of Ameristar Casino, Inc.
Adhere to established department and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.
This is a uniformed position, which requires that team member's are in compliance with uniformed appearance standards while on duty.
Demonstrates ability to maintain cleanliness of all back of house areas.
Practice safe food handling and sanitation duties as given to by management.
Demonstrates the ability to handle varying business with little assistance.
Demonstrates willingness to assist other team members as needed without being asked.
Demonstrates the ability to communicate through log books, verbally and written.
Demonstrates the ability to be proactive in maintaining Ameristar standards.
Demonstrates the ability to follow up on projects in a timely manner and complies with departmental policies as well as with Company rules, regulations, and policies set forth in the employee handbook reports any equipment malfunctions. Maintains station in a neat and orderly manner.

Demonstrates ability to employ heavy duty cleaning equipment and related chemicals to safety standards prescribed in departmental handbook
Reports with proper tools, clean uniform and recommended footwear at the stated time.

_Required Knowledge and Skills_
Must have excellent guest service skills
Must have decision-making ability; frequent communication with other department heads; must be willing to accept responsibility of inventory, breakage control and accurate labor cost. Maintain Company Standards; be in compliance with Health Codes and OSHA
Uses appropriate language when engaging guests and co-workers in conversation, communicating clearly and courteously, Provides continued service to all guests
Determines the nature of guest concerns and takes appropriate action to resolve general concerns, obtaining assistance from the proper personnel, as necessary.
_Required Natural Behaviors_
Must be able to stand for a minimum eight (8) hour shift.
Locations on casino floor are noisy and smoky.
Will also encounter intoxicated guests frequently.
Provide representation of department in specific project and company meetings.
_Required Education and Work Experience_
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum 1-6 month experience preferably in a hotel or casino.
