Position Description
To adhere to all KMMS policies and procedures
To understand the Kinder Morgan Materials Services Core Values: Safety, Quality, Efficiency and Honesty
To participate in daily Safety / Quality Talks
To report any / all incidents and/or near misses
To properly greet and communicate with all visitors
To comply with training given to use business internet applications appropriately
To understand and comply with Telephone Etiquette procedures
To understand and comply with Shipper Confidentiality when discussing Shipper Accounts
To comply with KMMS filing procedures
To perform all daily housekeeping duties to include office area, office bathrooms, conference rooms, carpet floors, furniture, computers, phones, office equipment and windows.
To comply with cross training to be able to work another desk when needed
To understand and comply with all requirements for any emergency
To send and receive e-mails as needed for Shipper correspondence
To verify word for word, letter for letter and number for number to comply with the Verification Policy

Position Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of (1) year experience in an office management roll.
Experience in warehousing operations management, documentation preparation, inventory management (manual and computerized), truck scale operations.
Experience in accounts receivable and payable processing.
Experience in employee record keeping and time sheet / payroll submitals.
Experience in facility SSP, SOP, JHA, development and training records management.
Experience in direct communications and interaction with customers.
Must be proficient on Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and database applications.
Must have basic mathematical skills and be proficient in the (10) key process.
Must be able to work alone in a single person office at times and take charge of all office clerical functions.
Must be able to take direction / supervision and work cooperatively with other people.
Successful completion of drug screen and background check upon job offer.
Ability to obtain and maintain TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) as issued by TSA (Transportation Security Administration).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
