Job Description $15,000 Sign-On BonusThe Respiratory Therapist is responsible for the administration of pharmacological, diagnostic, and therapeutic agents related to respiratory care procedures necessary to implement treatment, disease prevention, pulmonary rehabilitative, or diagnostic regimes prescribed by physiciansDuties include the transcription and implementation of the written or verbal orders of a physician pertaining to the practice of Respiratory Care, proper assessment, observation and monitoring of signs and symptoms, general behavior, and general physical response to Respiratory Care treatments and diagnostic testingThe Certified Respiratory Therapist will recommend and initiate appropriate respiratory care procedures and protocols based on observed abnormalities, implement changes in treatment pursuant to the written or verbal orders of a physicianThe Certified Respiratory Therapist must have the ability to assess and initiate emergency proceduresCollaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care deliver to achieve desired outcomes.
Associates degree in Respiratory Care is requiredOne (1) year of acute Respiratory Therapy Services is preferredCurrent Mississippi Respiratory Care licensure is requiredCertified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential is requiredBLS certification is required (or within 30 days of hire into the department)ACLS certification is strongly preferredPALS and NRP certifications are preferred.
