Job Description:
The Surgical Technician works in collaboration with the surgeon and RN to achieve optimal patient outcomesThe Surgical Technician must follow aseptic technique procedures and be able to provide equipment and supplies based on patient and surgeon needsDuring surgery, the Surgical Technician practices under the direction of the surgeon and surgical nursing staff.
Job Requirements:
Post-secondary course work in surgical technology, biological sciences, medical assisting or related discipline is preferredThree years of progressive operating room surgical technician experience is strongly preferred (in lieu of certification)BLS certification is required.
